SKUNK

Skunks are small, furry creatures that are black and white in colour. They are usually about the same size as house cats. These small creatures are found in the United States, Canada, South America and Mexico, where they live on the edges of forests, in woodlands, grasslands and deserts. They usually live in abandoned burrows, but they also inhabit abandoned buildings, large rock formations and hollow logs. Skunks are most memorable for their smell. When frightened, they will spray a smelly, oily substance from a gland under their tails with a range of up to three metres. According to The Humane Society, it is important to remember that most skunks are not aggressive and will only harm humans if they feel threatened.
